Yup… like Colafish said… we’ve just recently acquired a huge stash of Wii games… Hopefully they will accompany her in the coming days that I will be kept busy in Ortho.
Here are some of the games… and my tentative scores for each of them (might have errors since I am typing these from memory):

Heh. Just a lull in my night shift here… Nothing much. Have lots to write but always too lazy to write.
九点晚上过后，医院变得冷清清。。守卫开始锁门关灯。。轮夜班的我走在黑摸摸长长的走廊，忍不住心里嘀咕， 医院又不是没有钱，干吗把医院弄得阴森森， 吓死我了，看你们怎么办。
在这里，夜班是轮值的。做夜班时，就只从晚上9点到第二天8 点。 做了7 天，就会有7 天假，算是不错的差事。只是全医院只剩下3个小医生和3 个不大不小医生。 3 个小医生负责所有的病房，2 个负责内科， 1个负责外科。每人带2个传呼机。一个是专门急救/急事用， 另一个则是给其他大小事。3个人应付300多个病人，一点也不简单。所以我们的目标就是让每个不该死的病人活到天亮让各自的主治队伍解决问题, 等时间的病人不幸时间到了就填死亡证书.

I hate winter.
It is the season hospitals will be filled to the brim, and you need to wait for weeks for a GP appointment.
It is the season flu virus and other bugs flying around.. and landed on….ME.
It is the season you have to wake up in the middle of the night, and sit on icy cold toilet bowl. (praise God for central heating at home)
It is the season you just want to hibernate like a bear, despite the fact that your house is a mess and laundry is not done. (but you have to wake up for regular meals)
And it is worse because you’re pregnant and you have to sleep alone at night, as hubby is surrounded by those lovely little old ladies who tried to get his attention in the hospital.
Did i tell ya i hate winter?

很多人认为澳洲是先进国, 医药福利也是一流的. 这到是没错. 澳洲的基层医疗服务(primary care - 我是用google translate的啦)非常完善, 使国民都能长命百岁. 可是长命百岁一样会经历生老病死, 倒霉起来, 还会变成老不死…
所以, 当医院充满非常老的老人 (平均85岁以上), 以及横行无阻的有’ 杀人执照’ 的杀手, 许多谋杀, 误杀 等恐怖事件便层出不穷. 只是当你非常老又病又孤单的时候, 得以一死, 就算不是好事, 也没有人会计较太多…. 至少,不会变成人见人怕的老不死. (先进国的无情无义,还是比发展中国家先进的.)
只是, 身为医生, 我们能决定谁该死, 谁不该死吗? 就算该死, 难道我们就可以下手吗? 当我们进医学院, 不都学过, 无论如何, 不可伤害病人吗? (first, do no harm)
当医院不停的聘请外国杀手, 特别是来自那个最多医学院的国家…..

Well, we bought an NEC Versa S3200 early last year for colafish. It is a nice looking little unit with a 13.3″ screen. However, soon after purchase we noted the following:
The wifi adapter in this particular S3200 is the ralink one… (some come with the Intel adapter).
There is nothing that can really be done about issues 1 and 2 other than the normal - use maximum battery profile, turn down the screen brightness, etc..
For issue #4, if you go to Computer Management in XP, you can ask it to update the driver… it will update it to the latest version (newer than the ones from NEC’s support website) and it fixed the problem for me.
For issue #3, try here (Japanese website), download the driver, run it to extract the files and then run setup.exe to install it… SDHC support should work after that… (You might want to check that the SD/MMC/MS slot is an o2micro one in your particular S3200 first).
Phew! Finally figured out the problem with blogging in Chinese. Everytime my wife tried to post, it changed from good looking Chinese characters to ?????. Managed to get it to work partially when I converted it to Unicode HTML, but that didn’t work all the time either.
Turns out, it was not a problem with php’s handling of Unicode, nor a WordPress problem. Turns out, Fantastico installed WordPress using a collation of Swedish-Latin1 instead of UTF8… Once I changed it to UTF8, now everything works well (well, I only changed the post-content and post-title fields at the moment… Works okay for now, until I get around to sending some SQL commands to set everything to UTF8).
