Here we have China being struck by a disaster worse than that of Burma, and what is in the Australian news (e.g. http://www.news.com.au)? Burma. How USA should be pressured to intervene for aid to arrive to the survivors…
And news coverage on China's quake?
Zero. Zilch. Oh, okay, there is a mention in the “late-breaking news”. Government pledge for support or help from USA/Australia? Well, nada in the news too.
Here's the news from news.com's late breaking news: Offers of help have flooded in and foreign rescue teams from Japan, Russia, Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore have arrived.
I don't see Australia or USA there. Looks like they are too busy fighting politics and making a scene about how they so want to help Burma, with selective blindness to another areas of need that has not rejected aid/help. Anyway, I guess China probably doesn't need their help… No use causing more political problems and strife in China too… But I just thought that they were so willing to help those in need such as Burma… that they would at least have offered some help to China. Guess I'm wrong.
It's all just a show.
