bumblebee: ?????

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

(happy, loving) Sigh… This has to be the first love song that strikes so close to heart… Thank you, darling! I am memorising it to sing to you dear… another 500 times more :).

Warning: lyrics changed to apply to bumblebee and colafish…

????? - (The Lonely Northern Hemisphere)
Modified version: ????? - The Lonely Southern Hemisphere)
??? (Ou De Yang; Modification and translation by bumblebee :) )

??????????
(Use my goodnight to accompany you as you eat breakfast)
?????????
(Remember to let our thoughts saved up to fully spread)
????????
(I am looking at the blinking star-filled sky)
??????????
(Listen to the shepherd tell the tailor girls to be brave)

??????????
(Do not fear that we are at the two poles of the earth)
?????????
(See my greetings riding on the magic carpet)
?????????
(Flying at the speed of light to your front)
??????????????
(Wanting you to see that the Northern Star has the Southern Cross as company)

??????????????
(Without my shoulders as pillow, are you used to it?)
???????????????
(Your telescope cannot see my Southern hemisphere's loneliness)
??????????????
(Pacific Ocean's tide follow the Earth, flowing back and forth)
?????????????
(I will patiently wait, to greet you at anytime as you arrive at the shores)
??????????????
(Without my hugs as [your] heater, are you used to it?)
e??????????????
(e-sent you pictures, but cannot see my Southern hemisphere's loneliness)
??????????????
([Even if]the earth is bigger, two true hearts, then they can share warmth)
???????????????
(Thoughts will not be lazy; My dreams are fully yours for safe-keeping)

bumblebee: Invasion by the USA!

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

Anyone used the Crash Course series of books for medicine before?

Well, if you take up any copy of the new Crash Course books and you will find that they are:

1. No longer written by students. (Their claim to fame originally.)

2. No longer written by the British/UK. All of them are written by doctors from the USA!

Not sure why Elsevier decided to completely change the focus of the series. I mean, they should just start a whole new series of books with a different name rather than have the Americans invade what used to be a very British series of book.

Oh well, it might be for the better anyway. The old series followed my course in Oz quite well, but it did have numerous mistakes (it was written by students, after all!) I just hope that Elsevier would continue publishing books for medical students outside the USA! (Personally, I thought the American books were quite good, so I'm not fussed.)

I love you, darling! :*

Maybe next time I'll dedicate a song called “when I'm turning green, and my mouth starts to stink” instead :).

colafish : A groovy kind of love

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

Warning: Words in brackets are not part of the original lyrics!

When I'm feeling blue
All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue (yes, i turned green instead)
When you're close to me
I can feel your heart beat
I can hear you breathing
In my ear
(worried of halitosis, that's why using the ears instead?)
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love
(always thought it was 'Goofy' kind of love when young)

Any time you want to
You can turn me into
Anything you want to
Any time at all
(turn into Mini Cooper S in day time, Osim massage chair at night)
When I kiss your lips
Ooh, I start to shiver
Can't control the quivering inside
(just ate ice cream and drank icy drink dear?)
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

When I'm feeling blue
All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue
When I'm in your arms
Nothing seems to matter
My whole world can shatter
I don't care
(wait, i'm in your world too, what if i got hit by the pieces of your shattered world?)
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

We got a groovy kind of love
We got a groovy kind of love
Ooh, ooh
We got a groovy kind of love

*just joking. Thanks for the dedication dear.:)a lovely song i like a lot too.

bumblebee: Thanks, JC…

Thanks, JC! That was funny. But whoever said anything about the engagement yet? :P Who let the cat out??

A union of two takes the work of many. First the couple, who must embrace and love; then the family, who must accept and welcome. Finally, there are friends, who must support and counsel and help when the two start to fall apart.

I have done and said many stupid things in the past (even very recent past), and probably will for some time to come. My apologies in advance to my darling, as we share our lives as one.

*hugs and kisses*

JC the matcmaker : The Matchmakers Fee!

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Go to the barbers,
you get a cut and pay a fee..

Go school,
you pay both school and exam fees

See the midwive,
she delivers you a baby ,for a fee,

When the matchmaker does his magic,
he too, collects a fee -
the satisfaction of seeing 2 people sharing their lives as one.

Congratulations on your engagement!

But we can do small things with great love.

bumblebee: Use your head, dummy!

Monday, July 10th, 2006

Now, here's a contrasting story. At least this one is human and used his head for better good than a bull would.

Federer in action.

Federer won his 4th consecutive wimbledon! Hip Hip Hurrah!

Zidane in action.

Zidane decided to retire from football remembered as a bull more than a FOOTballer. He scored a goal for France, but fouled out and wasn't there to help in the penalty kicks which costed France a possible victory.

Sad huh? Sad sad day indeed for France and its supporters. Why oh why did they hire a bull?

Hey, Zidane, I heard Spain likes bullfights. Maybe the matadors there would like a challenge from you!
